ProSweets Cologne 2024: Sweet Week - Eventprogramm im Zeichen von Nachhaltigkeit und Networking

Die ProSweets Cologne, einzige Zuliefermesse nur für die Süßwaren- und Snackbranche, findet vom 28. bis 31.01.2024 gemeinsam mit der Süßwarenmesse ISM in Köln statt. Mit 250 Ausstellern aus 30 Ländern richtet sich die ProSweets Cologne an internationale Zulieferer und Entscheidungsträger der Snack- und Süßwarenbranche. Die Verknüpfung beider Messen im Rahmen einer „Sweet Week“ verspricht nicht nur die neuesten Innovationen der Branche, sondern auch ein mehrwertbringendes Fachprogramm und neue interaktive Eventformate. Ein gemeinsames Vortragsprogramm von ISM und ProSweets Cologne und die Messen verbindende Guided Tours begleiten den engen Austausch.Das Eventprogramm der ProSweets Cologne 2024 gestaltet sich praxisorientierter als je zuvor. Die Besucherinnen und Besucher erwarten viele Highlights, wie die mit der ISM geteilte Expert Stage: Das Programm auf der Expert Stage im Mittelboulevard beinhaltet spannende Trendvorträge und viele branchenspezifische Schwerpunkte. Expertinnen und Experten aus der Branche eröffnen neue Perspektiven, geben Einblicke über aktuelle Forschungsergebnisse und berichten über Best-Praxis-Beispiele. Ein interaktives Eventprogramm in den Ausstellungsbereichen „Packaging & Packaging Materials“ und „Raw Materials & Ingredients“ fördert über die Sensorik mit Fühlen, Riechen oder Schmecken ein neues, intensiveres Eventerlebnis.
Highlights Expert Stage
Ob essbare Verpackungen aus Algen, Schäume aus Pilzen oder biologisch abbaubare Kapseln für Pulver und Flüssigkeiten: Den Unternehmen der Süßwarenindustrie steht mittlerweile eine Vielzahl biozirkulärer Packmittel zur Verfügung, mit denen sie die Transformation hin zu einer Circular Economy proaktiv befördern können. Hon.-Prof. Dr. Sascha Peters stellt am 28.01.2024 von 13:30 bis 13:50 Uhr und am 30.01.2024 von 13:30 bis 13:50 Uhr zum Thema „Biozirkuläre Packmittelinnovationen“ einige der jüngsten Verpackungsinnovationen vor, die die Agentur „Haute Innovation“ für die Special Show Sustainable Packaging zusammengestellt hat.

Am 28.01.2024 von 16:00 - 16:30 Uhr spricht Diana Drewes von Haute Innovation beim „Sustainability Talk“ mit Simon Debade (Gründer von AKOUA), Michael Beitl (Gründer von Kern Tec) und Marco Schebesta (Geschäftsführer von Catch-your-Bug) über die nachhaltigen Rohstoffe, die als Zutaten die Zukunft der Süßwaren- und Snackindustrie revolutionieren können. Am 30.01.2024 von 16:00 - 16:30 Uhr spricht Diana Drewes mit Laurids Pernice (Abnoba), Daniel Salzburg (Cascaritas) und Christian Vetter (Pilzling Köln).

Michael Graf, Schuber-Consulting, präsentiert das Best-Praxis-Beispiel "New Packaging Perspectives–Schubert's glue-free and hybrid packaging" am 29.01.2024 von 12:00 - 12:30 Uhr.
Sweets Global Network Guided Tours
Der internationale Süßwarenhandelsverband Sweets Global Network e. V. veranstaltet am Montag, den 29.01.2024 sowie am Dienstag, den 30.01.2024, jeweils von 13:30 – 14:30 Uhr, zum ersten Mal Guided Tours, von der ISM ausgehend, zu ausgewählten Ausstellern auf der ProSweets Cologne. Bei den Guided Tours stehen die Themen Innovationen und Nachhaltigkeit im Vordergrund.

Das Thema Nachhaltigkeit ist auch im Verpackungsbereich einer der bedeutendsten Trends. Die DLG lädt deshalb zu täglichen Guided Tours zum Thema „Nachhaltige Verpackungskonzepte und -prozesse“.

Auf der Sonderfläche „InGREENients“ werden Snackinnovationen aus aller Welt vorgestellt und gekostet. Hier rückt insbesondere der Nachhaltigkeitsaspekt durch die Verwendung außergewöhnlicher Zutaten in den Vordergrund. Die Messebesucher haben die Möglichkeit, mit den Start up’s ABNOBA, AKOUDA, Cascarítas Kay Schadewald, Catch-Your-Bug, I.M.A. Pilzling GmbH und Kern Tec GmbH in den Austausch zu gehen.

Die Sonderfläche zum Thema nachhaltige Verpackungslösungen, supported by Sustainable Packaging Institut (SPI), pacoon sustainability concepts sowie Haute Innovation zeigt eindrucksvoll, wie sich Verpackungen nachhaltiger gestalten lassen und fokussiert sich dabei auf die Themenbereiche biogene Rohstoffe, Prozesstechnik und Prozessdesign, Funktionsmaterialien, smarte Verpackungen, Haltbarmachung und Verpackung sowie Bioökonomie und Nachhaltigkeit.

ProSweets Cologne, the only supplier fair exclusively for the sweets and snacks industry, is being staged in Cologne from 28.-31.01.2024, co-located with the sweets trade fair, ISM. Boasting 250 exhibitors from 30 countries, ProSweets Cologne addresses the international suppliers and decision-makers of the snacks and sweets industry. Connecting the two shows in the scope of a "Sweet Week" not only promises the latest industry innovations, but also a value-adding specialised programme and new interactive event formats. A joint lecture programme between ISM and ProSweets Cologne and the trade fair-connecting Guided Tours accompany the close exchange.The event programme of ProSweets Cologne 2024 is more practice-oriented than ever before. Many highlights await the visitors, such as the Expert Stage the fair shares with ISM: The programme on the Expert Stage on the Central Boulevard encompasses exciting trend lectures and many industry-specific focuses. Industry experts will open up new perspectives, give insights into current research results and report about examples of best practice. An interactive event programme in the exhibition sections "Packaging & Packaging Materials" and "Raw Materials & Ingredients" promotes a new, more intensive event experience involving the use of the senses feeling, smelling and tasting.

Sweets Global Network Guided Tours
On Monday, 29.01.2024 and on Tuesday, 30.01.2024, from 13:30 - 14:30 p.m., respectively, the international sweets association Sweets Global Network e.V. is organising a guided tour starting out from ISM to selected exhibitors of ProSweets Cologne for the first time. Innovations and sustainability are the main themes of the guided tours.
DLG Guided Tours
The theme sustainability is also one of the most significant trends in the packaging section. Which is why the DLG is inviting people to participate in daily Guided Tours entitled "Sustainable packaging concepts and processes".

Collaboration x InGREENients
Snack innovations from all over the globe will be presented and tasted on the "InGREENients" special zone. Here, a particular emphasis lies on the sustainability aspect through the use of unusual ingredients. The special area on the theme Sustainable Packaging Solutions supported by the Sustainable Packaging Institute (SPI), pacoon sustainability concepts and Haut Innovation will impressively demonstrate how packaging can be designed more sustainably and will focus on the theme areas biogenic raw materials, process technology and process design, functional materials, smart packaging, preservation and packaging as well as bioeconomy and sustainability.
ProSweets Cologne Party
The popular ProSweets Cologne Party is back on Monday evening, 29 January 2024. Here the exhibitors and guests can bring the day at the fair to a nice close together while enjoying live music, snacks, cool beverages and a relaxed exchange.
